Steven Gray

Steven is a qualified Chartered Surveyor with 20 years of retail asset management experience, particularly shopping centres.

He spent 12 years with Warner Estates and from 2002 onwards, was heavily involved in the acquisition of the seven shopping centres that became the Agora Shopping Centre Fund, as well as overseeing two sales from the Fund at substantial profits. During his time on the Agora Fund, he oversaw the refurbishment of Cavern Walks, bringing in Vivienne Westwood and creating a large anchor store for Cricket. Steven was also responsible for extensions to Ellesmere Port, Sale and Middleton, adding in excess of 9,300 sq. m (100,000 sq.ft) of new retail space.

In 2005 he joined ING Real Estate to asset manage schemes in the Britannica Fund and was promoted in 2007 to head of retail asset management, heading up the retail platform and advising in relation to retail asset management strategies across the company. In this time he has undertaken headlease re-gears, successful shopping centre refurbishments, created anchor stores for H & M, Primark, Wilkinsons and BHS and has worked closely with investors, retailers and local authorities to deliver retail innovation at the shopping centres he has been involved in. Latterly, Steven was involved in the acquisition of the Arc, Bury St Edmunds, for clients and the asset management repositioning of the centre by creating a restaurant quarter in a quieter part of the scheme.
